For those of you who don't get it and/or have never played Final Fantasy XII (12), I'll give you the run down.
During the course of the game, when enemies are defeated, a player gains License Points. License Points are used on a special board which allows that player to gain access to different pieces of armor, weapons, accessories, abilities, magic and Espers, once they are defeated.
What also exists on the board are Quickenings. There are 18 in all, and no player can have more then three to their name at any time; perfect since there are only 6 characters that this can be done with. Anyway, these Quickenings multiply the characters Magic Points when active as well as giving them access to the games most powerful attacks, also known as Limit Breaks. (These also drain either 1/3, 2/3 or 3/3 of the characters MP when used, each value depending on the strength of the Limit Break, to compensate for their strength.)
Once Penelo, one of the six playable characters in the game, has unlocked her second Quickening, she gains the Limit Break move: Evanescence.
Now, with the exceptions of Boss Fights, I don't use Quickenings that much (and if I do, it's usually with other characters who happened to be in my party at the time) and when I noticed the name of Penelo's Quickening, I got the inspiration to make this.

Kinda makes you wonder why they named her Quickening as such, ya know?

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
