Okay, a bit of an update from my previous entry.
As it stands, I'm not going to New York. I really wanted to go and I'm super honest about that, but as it stands, I just don't have the means to pay for the trip. I hope they all have fun in my place, because I've got other things to worry about.
First on the list: Cosplay! Yes, I'm still going to be doing my Organization XIII Intern cosplay, which will be kinda fun, no doubt. Still need to crack open Word or something to see if I can set it up so I can make a brochure in it, I want to start on them early. My coat is currently in the care of my grandma; A seam broke last Halloween when someone tackled me to the ground, so I'm hoping my grandma can repair it. I've also decided on sew-on letter, probably just because I have the option of those being removable. Sure, the material will have holes in it when they are removed, but with them being so tiny, I don't think you'll really be able to see them unless you're really looking for them.
However, something new has come up that complicates Sakuracon: Cirque du Soleil! WTF, you ask? Well, the uber-famous circus performance is coming to Portland and, believe me, tickets are probably gonna cost as much as both my cosplay, and my Sakuracon admission. So why stress, you ask?
THEY. ARE. HIRING.
No, they are not hiring for performers. They are currently hiring for grunt-work kinda people. Concession stand workers, janitors, ushers, that sort of thing. Now, I'm trying to get a job ASAP so I can work on getting enough money to go to Sakuracon, and I'm guessing it'll only happen by getting a temp job, but anyway~! The peeps running Cirque du Soleil need people for the boring jobs and I would LOVE to be an usher, just so I could get in for free.

The downside to all this wonderful wonderfulness? I don't have a lot of job experience, and the time frame of when I'd need to be available overlaps with Sakuracon. >_<
So, now I'm faced with a new dilemma. Do I go to Sakuracon or work for Cirque du Soleil?
Which, now that I think about it, may not be a problem at all. According to the job description, I only need to be available from early March to early April. The time frame in which I work can be at anytime between the starting and finishing dates, so if I do get the job at Cirque du Soleil, I have a chance of going to both! X3
So screw the old dilemma. Let's just all hope I can do both!
